LHI and Sustaiable Investment Management (EB-SIM) jointly acquire a wind farm in Sweden

EB-SIM is the initiator and investment advisor of the EB Renewable Energy Fund Europe. LHI is involved through the fund structure LHI Green Infrastructure Invest II.

EB Renewable Energy Fund Europe and LHI Green Infrastructure Invest II have jointly acquired a wind farm of the project developer wpd europe GmbH in Sweden. With a projected energy production of approx. 275 GWh and an annual CO2 reduction of 1.308t, the project actively contributes to sustainable energy supply in Sweden. The wind farm Aldermyrberget is located in  the north of the country and benefits from a private sector power purchase agreement. The 17 ready-to-operate wind turbines with a total capacity of 71.4 MW are supplied by the manufacturer Vestas. Vestas will also be responsible for the maintenance of the wind farm. The technical and commercial management is provided by wpd windmanager.

Dr. Cora Voigt, Head of Renewable Energy Investments, explains: "This transaction is the first investment of our Fund in Scandinavia. The investment will strengthen the Fund’s portfolio as well as its geographic diversification." "In addition, we are pleased about the successful cooperation with the LHI Group", adds Dr. Bernhard Graeber, Managing Director at EB-SIM.

David Sirch, project manager at LHI, affirms: "It was a pleasure to successfully and professionally execute this transaction with the project partners and at the same time make our first investment in Sweden."
